Washington Monthly magazine named Linfield the best college in Oregon for adult learners in its recently released 15th annual College Guide and Rankings.
The publication ranked four-year colleges according to factors that specifically affect adult students, including ease of transfer, flexibility of schedule and services for adults. Nationally, Linfield ranks 38th among four-year universities.
Linfield scored 17 on the 20-point rating system, including a perfect 5-out-of-5 in “ease of transfer.” Linfield’s adult learners earn $64,790 ten years after graduating from college, which is above average for ranked colleges. The list also highlighted Linfield’s adult learners as tied for the highest loan-repayment rate of independent students.
