Linfield is making back-to-back trips to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships for the first time in program history.
The Wildcats dispatched the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point 4-2 Saturday afternoon in the championship game of the McMinnville Regional tournament, played at Roy Helser Field.
Linfield went undefeated in four games, twice getting by the Pointers to earn a return trip to Appleton, Wis., to defend their national championship. They will play St. Thomas in the first game of the NCAA Finals Friday at 8 a.m. PDT in Appleton.
