Around the world in 30 days

It’s January Term at Linfield, and for many students that means study abroad.

While many classes are held on campus, January Term also offers students an opportunity to study in countries around the world. Linfield even covers the round-trip airfare from Portland.

Students record their impressions in journals and photographs as they pursue coursework in countries from Africa, France and Japan, to Ireland, Ecuador and China.

Some classes held this term include Health Care in India (“Must be able to walk long distances and live in developing world conditions”) and Political Change in Southeast Asia, held in Vietnam and Thailand.

Linfield also offers semester abroad studies for regular students and year abroad studies for foreign language majors. Students can study in a variety of places, from Hong Kong, England and Australia to New Zealand.
