Started in the fall, Linfield University has hosted a series of Wildcat Welcome Receptions designed to introduce new university president, Mark Blegen, to the university’s valued donors, alumni and friends. Blegen became Linfield’s 21st president on July 1, 2025.
These receptions bring together members of the Linfield community for an opportunity to meet President Blegen, engage in meaningful conversations and celebrate the Wildcat spirit. In the fall, Blegen traveled throughout Oregon, as well as to Seattle and Los Angeles. Additional locations have now been announced!
“Connecting with members of the Linfield community — including our alumni, donors, students, employees, friends and neighbors — is essential as we look toward the future of Linfield,” Blegen said. “These receptions offer a chance for me to listen, learn and share our vision for the university’s continued growth and excellence.”
Attendees can expect brief remarks from Blegen, opportunities for networking with fellow Wildcats and light refreshments.
