Linfield employees Lee Bakner, Joe Latulippe and Michele Tomseth completed a the Credo Talent Development Program in fall 2023.
Three Linfield University McMinnville Campus employees completed a personal leadership education program through Credo during the fall 2023 semester. Credo is Linfield’s partner on Moving the Needle (MTN), a joint initiative aimed at improving retention rates at the university. Offered exclusively to Credo’s MTN schools, the Talent Development Program promotes individual leadership growth and professional development surrounding trends and opportunities in higher education. The interactive, virtual training took place over 1.5 days. Participants completing the program earned a Credly badge.

Congratulations to:

  • Lee Bakner, professor of psychology: Bakner is a biopsychologist who specializes in studying brain-behavior relationships. He has been at Linfield since 1992.
  • Joe Latulippe, associate provost for academic support and accessibility: Latulippe joined Linfield in 2021 as the director of academic advising. He moved into his new role as an associate provost in 2023, overseeing academic advising and Learning Support Services.
  • Michele Tomseth, director of international programs: Since 2000, Tomseth has guided thousands of Linfield students in their international academic journeys. After serving in several roles in the office, she was named director in November 2022.

During the 2022-23 academic year, 19 employees from both the McMinnville and Portland campuses completed the program. Additional Linfield employees will be invited to participate in the Talent Development Program throughout the university’s five-year partnership with Credo. More information on the program is available online.
