Linfield to host education professionals for OrCAN conference

Linfield CollegeLinfield College will host leaders from throughout Oregon at the annual Oregon College Access Network (OrCAN) Conference Monday, Nov. 10, in McMinnville.

A free networking event will also be held Sunday, Nov. 9, from 5-7 p.m. at McMenamin’s Hotel Oregon in McMinnville. The event, which includes appetizers and a no-host bar, will allow interaction between college access professionals from throughout Oregon.

The conference, “Collaborating to Create Access and Success,” features conference sessions and networking opportunities for postsecondary and college access professionals from throughout the state. The goal of the conference is to share best practices, update professionals via state policy insight, and to discuss and contribute ideas on actionable measures to help Oregon reach the goal of 40/40/20 by 2025.

OrCAN offers membership pricing tiers for individuals and organizations. All employees of organizations enrolled as members receive member benefits and discounts. Professional development units are available, along with scholarships and financial aid for K-12 educators, administrators and counselors.
