The nation’s premiere sports magazine gave Linfield a sendoff, as the undefeated football team travels to Wisconsin Saturday to meet unbeaten UW-Whitewater in the semifinals of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
The winner will compete for the national title Dec. 19 in Salem, Va.
Linfield is 12-0 this fall, rolling through the first three rounds of the playoffs with victories over Cal Lutheran, Mary Hardin–Baylor (Texas) and St. Thomas (Minn.). The Wildcats have beaten six teams ranked among the nation’s Top 25.
